Who we are

We are a growth-stage investment firm located in London and Geneva. We spun off from Highland Capital Partners in 2012 to focus entirely on European-rooted scale-ups.

We are committed to our values – particularly unswerving optimism – and to the founders we back. We are currently investing our fifth fund of €1Bn.

Highland Europe, like the companies we fund, is an entrepreneurial endeavour, an equal partnership that prioritises teamwork. Although we have three decades of investment experience in Europe, China, and the US, we’ve never lost our start-up spirit and remain as hungry as any founder. Many of our own investors are foundations, non-profits and university endowments. We recognise and appreciate the challenges of incorporating ESG in high growth companies and work with our portfolio companies to get stronger on ESG matters.
