Gajan Rajanathan joined Highland Europe in 2017 and focuses on growth investments in software, fintech and internet. Gajan currently represents Highland Europe on the board of INCOPRO and co-led the investments in Spotinst and Bitmovin. He previously was responsible for founding and growing the European operations of Qatalyst Partners, a Silicon Valley based technology M&A advisory firm.
Gajan has over 10 years of experience in strategic mergers and acquisitions with a focus on working with technology companies in Europe and the U.S. He has advised on $15Bn+ of announced transactions including SkyScanner’s sale to Ctrip (£1.43BN), Autonomy’s sale to HP ($11.7BN), Alcatel-Lucent’s sale of Genesys to Permira/TCV ($1.5BN) and Swiftkey’s sale to Microsoft amongst others.
Prior to Qatalyst, Gajan worked in Credit Suisse’s M&A group in New York.
Gajan holds an S.B. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His interests include Chelsea FC, travel, photography, rugby, cricket, poker and wine.
