Gajan Rajanathan joined Highland Europe in 2017 and focuses on growth investments in software, fintech and internet. He previously was responsible for founding and growing the European operations of Qatalyst Partners, a Silicon Valley based technology M&A advisory firm.
Gajan has over 10 years of experience in strategic mergers and acquisitions with a focus on working with technology companies in Europe and the U.S. He has advised on $15Bn+ of announced transactions including SkyScanner’s sale to Ctrip (£1.43BN), Autonomy’s sale to HP ($11.7BN), Alcatel-Lucent’s sale of Genesys to Permira/TCV ($1.5BN) and Swiftkey’s sale to Microsoft amongst others.
Prior to Qatalyst, Gajan worked in Credit Suisse’s M&A group in New York. Gajan worked closely with Highland on the investment in Starleaf in 2017.
Gajan holds an S.B. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His interests include Chelsea FC, travel, photography, rugby, cricket, poker and wine.
