Embedded Software Engineer
About the role and about You:
As part of our continued growth, we seek to hire a Mid-level Firmware Engineer to join our Hardware team, FitTech. This is a newly created position where the chosen person will specialise in writing embedded code for Motor Controls. Ideally, this person will have experience of communication protocols such as Bluetooth, Ant+ and USB.
What you’ll do:
- Prototype and demonstrate development for new products.
- Writing robust embedded code to manage and operate associated Fit Tech products.
- Writing embedded code for motor control.
- Carrying out static and dynamic code analysis and testing.
- Maintaining and supporting source code using GitHub.
- Managing contractors where needed.
- In collaboration with the Systems and Electronics Engineers, carrying out detailed system and architectural designs for Fit Tech products.
- Testing embedded software supported products at all stages of development.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent numerate discipline.
- Master’s degree or higher preferred.
- Experience writing embedded software with knowledge of motor controls as a senior developer.
- Experience working with external services and managing them.
- Knowledge of at least one of Bluetooth, ANT+, USB communication protocols.
- Knowledge of source code control and issue tracking systems eg GitHub and JIRA.
Location & Travel:
- London, UK, primary place of work.
- Travel to Zwift’s Long Beach CA Office may be required.
