The Opportunity

Featurespace are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our growing Product team, to be based in our Atlanta office, with some travel expected. As a Product Manager at Featurespace you will help us protect customers around the world from financial fraud and risk by creating and documenting the product planning and execution throughout the Product life cycle. You will be responsible for gathering and prioritising product, industry, and customer requirements, working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Ensuring that the product is aligned with and supports the company’s overall strategy and goals, you will be involved in defining new Products and Product features in collaboration with the wider Product team, assisting with Product communications (both commercial and technical as required) and will immerse yourself in the Fraud and Financial Crime industry to understand new opportunities.

 

Day to Day

  • Ownership of functional and non-functional requirements for Products as assigned
  • Provide guidance on design of new features and integrations to the Product team
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition
  • Act as a leader within the company
  • Work closely with UI and UX teams to mock up desired new features
  • Maintain close working links with the Engineering teams that facilitate the exchange of information and ideas
  • Facilitate Product design workshops and meetings, inputs and outputs
  • Work with the Principal Product Managers to identify new Product opportunities within current solutions

About you

Must haves:

  • An established background in software development and/or architecture with proven technical experience,
  • An understanding of software development concepts and techniques.
  • Highly organised and detail oriented with good writing, verbal, communication skills, people skills and concern for high standards,
  • Ability to take on a varied and busy workload with a proven track record for delivery,
  • Ambitious and smart; willing to learn and get up to speed quickly,
  • Excellent working knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, prototyping tools (e.g. Balsamiq, Invision)
  • Great communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent teamwork skills

 

Great to haves:

  • Knowledge and/or interest in FinTech,
  • Previous experience of interfacing between Engineering and Product teams.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
  • Technical or business background
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
