As a C++ Développer, you will join our Data team to work on Clickhouse, the open-source database, to consolidate it and improve the performance of the platform. Indeed, the data team has migrated from Elasticsearch to Clickhouse in 2019. This migration has allowed us to improve cost effectiveness, query times. In 2021, we ambition to double down on our initial investment in Clickhouse by building a dedicated team to work exclusively on improving the technology and giving back to the Clickhouse community. Your daily work will consist of:
- Implement new capabilities in Clickhouse ( SQL functions, database features )
- Improve the performance of existing SQL function
- Get in touch with the Clickhouse dev community to discuss design ideas and project proposals
- Work on the design and implementation of large scale improvements to the database.
With a minimum of 3 years of experience, you are proficient in modern C++, you are passionate about high performance programming and distributed systems and ideally you have already contributed to an open source project in C++ ( apache arrow, clickhouse or any similar projects). You have some experience on a wide range of databases and you are familiar with data engineering practices. You would like to challenge yourself developing distributed infrastructure with a real time and data-intensive environment. You would like to share your skills and take part in technical choices.
