Following the tremendous success of Featurespace, our team is expanding globally, and we have an exciting opportunity for an Analytics Consultant in our Singapore office.

The successful candidate will join a vibrant and growing team in the APAC region at an exciting time in their development, as the company continues it’s impressive growth.

The Analytics Consultant role is a new and exciting role on our global Delivery team that will be responsible for providing consulting expertise to the customers on Featurespace’s advanced statistical models, machine learning, rules-based solutions and algorithms that infer and predict individual customer behaviours in real-time, based on retail, online, and ecommerce transaction data.

 

Day to Day

  • Working with customers to understand the opportunities and constraints of their existing data in the context of our industry-leading analytical solutions
  • Producing materials to feedback analytic results to customers (reports, presentations, visualisations)
  • Evaluating and improving the analytical results on live systems
  • Developing an understanding of data structures and processes
  • Developing a deep understanding of the capabilities of the ARIC product in the analytics space
  • Assisting the development of statistical models and algorithms for integration with Featurespace products
  • Applying analytical theory to real world problems on large and dynamic datasets
  • Providing input into future analytics strategy and product development
  • Working with customer QA teams to advise on effective analytical testing and supporting test phases

About you

Must haves:

  • Good degree in a scientific or numerate discipline, e.g. Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering
  • Great client facing skills, able to communicate complex analytical concepts to a variety of audiences, especially in a data science context
  • Ability to articulate the application of practical machine learning algorithms to real-world data
  • Ability to understand complex systems quickly
  • Problem solving skills (especially in data-centric applications)
  • Strong, clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with software engineering practices, version control and the Unix command line
  • Technical and analytical skills with the ability to pick up new technologies and concepts quickly
  • Ability to manage and prioritise personal workload
  • Constructive participation in system design discussions from an analytical perspective

Good to haves:

  • A Ph.D. or other postgraduate qualification would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Experience in implementing statistical models and analytical algorithms in software
  • Practical experience of the handling and mining of large, diverse, data sets
  • Experience in requirements management, business analysis, consulting environment is a plus
  • Industry experience in fraud, fraud strategy, payments
  • Technical expertise with event-driven systems, analytics/ML code implementations, Python, SQL is also advantageous
