Systems Electronics Design Director
About the role and about You:
The Systems Electronics Design Director role is a new position within the Fitness Hardware division. The team primarily builds electrical and mechanical systems, as such the Director of System Engineering needs to have significant experience with consumer electronics, managing electronics and firmware engineers, and to have experience with system architecture. The director will manage a team of approximately 10 Engineers, Electrical, firmware, App Developers and Test Engineers.
The Systems Electronics Design Director is responsible for:
- Leading a team of 10+ electronics and firmware engineers.
- Working along side the mechanical, industrial design and R&D directors, collaboratively designing Zwift HW products.
- Leading the firmware architecture of Zwift hardware.
- Working closely with Program and Product on scheduling and feature sets of the products.
- Managing EE and Firmware development sprints.
- Working with SW developers from Game team, to align the hardware and software.
Required skills and experience:
- The ideal candidate will have at minimum BSc in engineering or computer science.
- 3+ years experience as a system architect/engineer in consumer electronics products.
- Experience in managing 10+ engineers/developers.
- Experience in embedded systems, and firmware development.
- Knowledge in electronics board design.
- Experience working with globally based manufacturers and colleagues.
- Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written along with good sound interpersonal skills
