Modulr is looking for an Auditor to join our Internal Audit function. This role gives you the opportunity to look across our business and ensure we are appropriately controlling our risks. If you are an experienced internal auditor with a delivery focus, as well as a strong understanding of risk and control, we would love to help you use these skills to develop and grow our newly established Internal Audit function. This is a rare opportunity to join a new IA function, offering plenty of scope to help design and embed our approach.

Companies are under mounting pressure to manage their cashflow, control their costs, comply with regulations and handle complex supplier, customer and employment payment arrangements. Modulr develops cutting-edge API-first solutions that enable businesses to overcome these challenges and take control of their money. 

 

The key tasks of your role will include:

  • Responsible on a day-to-day basis for delivery of designated audit work within audits and review of business systems and processes as set out in the quarterly audit plan in accordance with professional and company standards.
  • Deliver designated tasks in line with departmental quality standards, conforming with professional guidelines (Standards, Ethics and Financial Services Code) issued by the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors.
  • Assist in the identification of practical remedial actions with management, agreement of action plans, and production of  high quality draft reports for review by the Head of Internal Audit, and coordination of the final report for issue.
  • Provide advice on controls and risk management and other consultancy services as required by the business and management. Include participation in business-led risk management workshops.
  • Input to the assessment and scoring of Audit Universe, IA plan as required.
  • Participate in and undertakes special projects and investigations as directed by the Head of Internal Audit in the overall drive for improvements in the company's control environment.
  • Contribute to coordination of governance reporting as required.
  • Proactively assist in the continuous development of standards and procedures within the department.

 

About You: To join us as an Auditor you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or management information systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Internal Audit (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Accountant (CA/ACCA), or related certifications is an additional benefit.
