Established in 2014 as a tech business, we are now expanding and are in the process of developing groundbreaking Zwift hardware. This is a big and exciting change for us, and because of this, we are looking to build a global Supply Chain team. 

Our new SVP of Supply Chain is building a new organization. She is looking for the best  to help build a premier supply organization. Zwift is committed to building a diverse, skilled and knowledgeable team.  

This role will establish and lead all contract manufacturing and quality functions on a  global basis. You will assist in ramping NPI and establishing Sustaining and Repair manufacturing and sourcing capabilities to achieve our hardware aspirations. You will  provide guidance on optimal manufacturability and introduce our products throughout  the supply chain and manufacturing facilities effectively, efficiently and in accordance  with the established program requirements. We are going to be launching and growing  quickly, so you will need to be hands-on to get things set up, whilst being able to  maintain a focus on our long-term plans to ensure our manufacturing and quality  strategies are aligned. This resource has direct reports in the US, UK, and Asia.

What you’ll do: 

  • Organizational leadership of the Manufacturing and Quality teams to drive the development, implementation, and sustainable production of the Hardware Product Roadmap. 
  • Define your organization’s roles & responsibilities to adapt as the organization grows, attract, develop, and retain top talent. 
  • Establish and implement Manufacturing Plans, Test Processes, Product Quality Plans, Supplier Quality Plans, and predictive metrics. 
  • Ensure product costs, manufacturing cost, and production yield targets are established and meet the requirements for commercial success. 
  • Provide leadership in Manufacturing Engineering for automated test systems (ATS), jigs, fixtures, and tooling development. 
  • Collaborate with NPI Material Managers & Sourcing for material sourcing plans and strategic supplier selections. 
  • Manufacturing technical support in multi-functional New Product Development teams to ensure that products are designed for optimal manufacturability. 
  • Provide DFM/DFT analysis to Engineering and key suppliers in support of the design approach. 
  • Push and develop suppliers to meet our product requirements. Collaborate with ID/ME/EE on best practice design guidelines to meet supplier capabilities and cost targets. 
  • Collaborate on Make/Buy decisions, implement part selection consistent with the Manufacturing Strategy and aligned with the capabilities of supply chain. 
  • Guide and support the NPI team to ensure group deliverables are met in a timely manner. 
  • Lead capital tooling projects from concept and financial justification through to component approval. 
  • Collaboratively design and process FMEA’s, ensuring that risks are mitigated. 
  • Confirms engineering drawing, Bills of Material and component specifications meet Supply Chain and mass production requirements. 
  • The generation of new assembly and test processes, instructions, and reporting. 
  • Ensure component specifications, procurement and setups meet clear to build  schedule.
  • Pilot & sustaining production builds; verifying all business processes are tested and take ownership for the capturing and resolution of issues. 
  • Mass production launch: ensure that Operational NPI plans are effectively implemented and optimized for quality and cost. 
  • Leadership in Supplier development 
  • Ensure cohesive integration of all technologies and where gaps may exist in the current supply chain; develop supplier selection criteria in line with sourcing strategies. 
  • Collaborate with Sourcing activities to achieve cost, quality and reliability of externally sourced components and sub-assemblies to meet cost targets, quality standards and warranty periods. 
  • Lead the interactions between suppliers and internal R&D teams throughout the design cycle. Where required your team will visit key suppliers to review  progress against key project milestones, initiate improvement programs and assist in the development of processes to improve component quality, ensuring long-term reliability levels can be achieved. 
  • Lead global product quality and compliance. 
  • Establish quality and return processes and standards, supplier audits, visibility, and reporting. 
  • Preparation of summary component/assembly quality and reliability reports. Ensure appropriate supplier data submissions are received with parts, identifying subsequent verification requirements and completion of statistical analysis. 
  • Define and execute supplier and manufacturing quality assurance, test standards and processes. 
  • Multi-functional collaboration to develop and lead customer return policies and  protocols, enabling customer delight with financially sustainable policies. 

What you'll have: 

  •  BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering. 
  • 10+ years leadership experience in Manufacturing, New Product Development and Quality 
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to supervise and resolve issues across multiple programs simultaneously. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to speak and write in English. Ability to also communicate in Mandarin or Spanish a plus. 
  • Experience working with global teams and willing to participate in Global conference calls during non-standard working hours as needed.
  • Must be open to travel to the UK for product working sessions and global supplier sites to ensure NPI and Sustaining success.
