Hello we’re Farewill and we’re looking for a Non Executive Director to join our Board.

Who we are

Changing the way the world deals with death

Dealing with death is incredibly hard. On the practical side it’s complicated, expensive, and you probably haven’t done it many times before. And on the emotional side, it’s the hardest thing you’ll ever go through.

At Farewill we make the processes around death as simple as possible and guide you through it with our friendly experts. But we don’t just stop there. We believe in helping every individual and family to deal with death by celebrating life.

From gifts to friends and love letters in wills, to memorial trees in beautiful forests, to the music, flowers, jokes and stories that make funerals feel special.

Dealing with death is incredibly hard, but you can do it, and we’re here to help.

Where we are

We grew revenue 6x last year, and doubled the team to 125. Our products are strong (80+ NPS, 4.9 Trustpilot). This year we’re doubling down on our version of funerals, search and brand building will both be key to growth. Next year we’re likely to launch our first international market.

As a board, we exist to challenge and guide the company on their strategy and execution plan, so together we can all bring to life the business we want to build. This spans from interrogating our mission and strategy, developing the leaders of the business, challenging our product plan and goals, and supporting the values and beliefs we uphold as a team. We are first and foremost here to serve our customers - directly and by serving our team and our shareholders.

As a non executive director on our board, you’ll work closely with the founders as mentor and confidant, you’ll collaborate with their leadership team, and work closely with the board. You’ll bring your experience of growing an organisation in a product led business, to work collaboratively with us to deliver on our mission as a board, and as a business: to change the way the world deals with death.

*Currently our lovely office in Haggerston is available if people want — and only if they want. Previously, we had work from home Wednesdays, however, our current plan is to move to a mix of office-based and remote working.

At Farewill, our mission is to change the way the world deals with death - to make it simple, personal, fairly-priced & accessible to everyone.

To do that, we want to build a workplace that’s great for everyone, that celebrates diversity in all its forms, and where everyone who works for us feels like they can be themselves, bring their whole selves to work, and be treated fairly, equitably and respectfully.
