We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Manufacturing team to support our co-manufacturing operation in the United States, building face-to-face relationships with a portfolio of co-packers and ensuring that we’re getting great cost, service and quality from reliable suppliers who share and uphold our core values.

The successful candidate must be based in the US and able to travel to both our New York office and to our manufacturing sites across the country on a regular basis.

 

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing our suppliers to get the level of service and quality of goods required, protecting availability for our customers
  • Controlling spend against contract and spotting cost-saving opportunities to ensure Huel is always getting a great deal
  • Understanding the manufacturing environment as well as supplier capacity and capability, to ensure that our suppliers can keep up with our requirements
  • Working closely with the Demand Team to ensure we have appropriate service levels; and the NPD Team to launch new flavours and products in the US
  • Representing the Huel brand to our manufacturers: understanding our operation and theirs, as well as attending trials, product launches and resolving issues
  • In partnership with UK technical team utilising your industry knowledge to aid supplier selection, process & quality improvements

 

Requirements

  • 3 or more years experience of managing suppliers in a co-manufacturing environment, preferably in a food or drink-based FMCG business
  • Educated to degree level
  • Extremely organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Super communication and relationship-building skills
  • Enthusiasm and strong work ethic are essential
  • Flexibility will be key, everyone wears a lot of hats and requirements change all the time
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, take responsibility, and get the job done
