About the role and about You:

Established in 2014 as a tech business, we are now expanding and are in the process of developing ground breaking Zwift hardware. This is a big and exciting change for us, and because of this, we are looking to build a global Supply Chain team.

We will be scaling the business and our supply chain quickly, so this role is designed to enable us to make our newly developed supply chain effective, across planning, sourcing, production and logistics.

The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for a key element in the company's global product quality. As a core member of the Manufacturing NPI team, this person will establish the product quality plan for all new products and ensure global compliance. This person will also be responsible for maintaining and improving product quality in sustaining products to minimize customer returns in a rapidly changing and high growth environment. This role includes establishing quality processes and standards, auditing suppliers, investigating and resolving reported quality issues. The role requires the right mix of development and implementation skills to build a foundation for growth, strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a ‘roll-up-your-sleeves’ attitude.

 What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement Product Quality Plans for all products
  • Execute on quality programs focused on-going reliability test standards and processes
  • Audit and track sustaining product compliance and certification status and drive required actions to closure to ensure compliance and certifications are kept in good standing
  • Establish a foundation of best-practice and scalable quality strategies, processes, systems and visibility in a high-mix low-volume environment which includes:
    • Direct leadership in the DFMEA/PFMEA process
    • Ensure the development of effective Control Plans with all necessary suppliers
    • PPAP/FOT/FAI – Develop a lean and effective first article Inspections process
    • Audit design documents for completeness to ensure critical to function and critical to quality specifications are complete and clearly identified
    • Develop and implement Quality Metrics to monitor quality throughout the supply Chain
    • Includes monthly product quality, supplier performance, and trend analytics
    • Audit and report on CM & supplier processes to ensure first pass quality during start-up and throughout product lifecycles
  • Maintain and improve product quality by:
    • Lead the product, supplier and process audits
    • Lead the Investigation of customer complaints and address quality issues through root cause analysis (8D), coordinating with cross functional teams, and preparing and completing action plans
    • Collaborating with other members of cross functional teams to develop new products manufacturing and training methods
    • Influence suppliers to implement tests, screening/audit procedures and corrective actions where there may be little interest in cooperating

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors of Science degree
  • 5 years recent quality engineering or manufacturing engineering experience (preferably in LED, lighting or consumer electronics)
  • Understanding of ISO9000 series and AS9100 Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Familiarity with the safety compliance application process (UL, CE, CCC, etc.)
  • Proven ability to apply measurement, analysis and CI tools to create lasting operational improvements
  • Able to communicate cross-functionally at all levels of the business - internally and externally
  • Experience in working with global teams and vendors
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Results driven attitude
  • Self-managed and motivated to succeed
  • Able to travel up to 15% of the time to resolve quality issues
