Head of User Experience

We are looking for a permanent Head of User Experience to join our growing Product Team. In this role, you will lead the User Experience and Design team and help bringing Condeco’s experience to the next level. 

You should be a seasoned design leader who knows how to build out an effective UX practice in a fast-growing business. You’ll report to the Chief Product Officer. Responsibilities:

• Make sure that our products deliver a world-class UX that users love. a
• Run, and build team of UX and UI professionals and foster a collaborative, productive, and positive environment that gets the best out of everyone.
• Strategically plan UX initiatives and define methodology and tooling in a way that demonstrates high quality design practices across the entire project lifecycle. This includes participation in all aspects of UX: research, ideation, strategy, interaction design, and visual design.
• Define UX metrics and measure success.
• Define UX and UI standards that are applied across our product range.
• Empower and mentor the team, nurture best practice and encourage personal growth.
• Manage and guide usability tests, workshops and user research initiatives.
• Work with Product Management and Engineering to ideate and deliver our next generation of innovative solutions.

About You:

• A degree or qualification in design, HCI, human-centred design, ergonomics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• A solid level of experience in user research, user experience design and usability testing methodology, with the ability to not only analyse, but synthesise research into strategic insight and innovation.
• A clear understanding of prototyping techniques and how to appropriately apply them.
• A passion for crafting great experiences that users love.
• An inquisitive mind that wants to understand how our users think and work, and how we can improve their day-to-day work.
• Great stakeholder engagement skills – you should be able to take stakeholders onto the journey and create wins for everyone.
• Solid coaching and mentoring skills: you are expected to nurture best practice and develop your team.
• A keen eye for interaction and UI design – you should have experience working with creatives who bring the experience to life.
• A thorough understanding of accessibility, the relevant standards and how to design for users with diverse needs.
• Experience with design systems and UI frameworks.
• An interest in how technology changes how we live, work and think. AI/ML, big data and IOT are a few topics here you should be able to demonstrate an understanding of.
• A good understanding of data visualization and how it can help our customers make better decisions about their businesses.
• Some technical understanding of web and mobile development topics, and a background in SaaS is desirable.
