This position will be a key role for the group as it continues with its ambitious business growth plans in an increasingly complex international tax landscape.  The successful candidate will be expected to continually update their knowledge of tax affairs, as relating to Condeco, and to brief management on key tax developments that may impact the business.


Responsibilities:

  • Must have genuine interest in all things tax as will be required to take responsibility for the corporate, state and local tax requirements of each subsidiary for the Condeco Group.  They will be expected to ensure :
  • Management are clearly briefed on all tax obligations
  • All obligations are fully recorded with appropriate supporting documentation maintained
  • All filings are made on time and liabilities paid as required
  • Required to actively review and plan for future potential tax impacts/possible outcomes in the regions in which Condeco operates.
  • They will also be expected to contribute to the development of wider tax knowledge within the tax and treasury team and ensure the group's ERP system is fully maintained & updated as necessary for all tax requirements
  • They must be able to demonstrate:
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of UK corporate tax including R&D claims
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of UK VAT including working with international sales & imports
  • Knowledge and experience of US corporate tax, state taxes, sales taxes and local taxes requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of India corporate tax, state taxes, sales taxes and local taxes requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of European corporate tax, sales taxes and local taxes requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of Australian & Singapore corporate tax, sales taxes and local taxes requirements
  • The role will also require accounting and reconciliation work on a day-to-day & monthly basis including areas such as VAT, inter-company reconciliation, and payroll taxes reconciliations to ensure correctness and full tax compliance.  Some important areas, not exhaustive, are mentioned below:
  • Preparation of working papers for Sales and Purchase Tax Reporting across all Subsidiaries (e.g. VAT, EC Sales, Intrastate etc)
  • Production of Monthly Global VAT Reporting Package
  • Production of Monthly Global Tax Reporting Package
  • Responsibility for General Ledger entries for tax, payroll and treasury tax related movements
  • Communication with external agencies ensuring accurate and timely filings
  • Coordinate with external agencies for the yearly corporate income taxes calculations and other tax reporting required across the group
  • Review of Global IC AP-AR positions and Loans positions
  • Responsibility for Monthly Global IC AP-AR Reporting Package - Intercompany AP/AR reconciliations
  • Responsibility for Monthly Global Loan Reporting Package - Intercompany loan reconciliations
  • Responsibility for Global IC positions Interests Calculation
  • Identifying where IC Payments can be made and accurately clearing and offsetting in Netsuite
  • Setup or review payments of intercompany AP/AR, loans in the bank
  • Preparation of tax and other working papers for audits (e.g. Group internal, statutory, payroll and taxes related audits)
  • Improve & develop the effectiveness and efficiency of all tax compliance controls including where there is overlap with payroll and treasury controls
  • Create and improve working instructions for all tax related department processes
  • Create & manage spend against purchase orders (PO) for tax advisory costs
  • Assist with Ad-Hoc requests and projects
  • Researching about Tax Legislation updates and updating / preparing notes for team as needed


About You:

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of UK corporate tax including R&D claims
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of UK VAT including working with international sales & imports
  • Knowledge and experience of US corporate tax, state taxes, sales taxes and local taxes requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of India corporate tax, state taxes, sales taxes and local taxes requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of European corporate tax, sales taxes and local taxes requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of Australian & Singapore corporate tax, sales taxes and local taxes requirements
  • Recognised qualification in Taxation
  • Certificates in Finance & Accounting
  • Current experience of working in a tax role with exposure to corporate, international, direct and indirect taxes
  • At least 4-6 years of professional experience in finance environment (accounting, controlling, treasury or payroll)
  • Excellent communication skills, a team player with positive attitude in a challenging environment
  • Good analytical skills and attention to details
  • Strong problem solving skills with a proactive, innovative approach to work and sense for improvements
  • Ability to adapt to challenging deadlines and business demands
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience of Netsuite or other Oracle based accounting software
  • Experience of Sage Payroll would be advantage
  • Confidentiality, commitment and reliability are key for this role
  • Eager to learn fast and efficiently
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written; other European languages are an asset
