Your mission :

Jellysmack is opening up a new role to work within our Operations team as an Operations Project Manager. This role is a unique opportunity to:
- Dive into the Operations of Jellysmack, one of the fastest-growing tech companies in the Social Media landscape
- Lead large-scale projects in an international environment (US and Europe)
- Develop an expertise on social media that you can build on throughout your career
Within Jellysmack Operations department, "VIC squad" is the highly-strategic multi-disciplinary team that runs all editing operations for our VICs, "Very Important Creators". These are the 20% of our creators accounting for 80% of the revenues! Given their strategic importance and contribution to overall profit, they deserve a special treatment and additional care.

 

What you’ll be responsible for:
- Build and maintain advanced daily reporting to identify early on profit issues on VIC
- Define root-cause analysis framework, collecting best practices across pods (pods are operational teams organized per vertical: Beauty, Sports, Gaming, Arts, ...)
- Build and manage a team of 4+ content coordinators, in charge of supporting pod teams in applying root-cause analysis framework and defining and tracking actionable mitigation plans
- Track impact of action plans and build business case / P&L for the squad
- Participate with leadership in strategic framing of what are the criteria to hit VIC status, depending on countries, and what are the key differences in operating model for VICs vs. other creators - with a profit-first approach
- Define and optimize operational processes for our VIC across pods - e.g., double-staffing, link to production teams, link to sales teams to pitch new business case, ...
- Grow, coordinate, empower and upskill a talented team of 50+ expert editors, content strategists and community managers

 

A little about you:

  • 6+ years of experience in high-impact project management or previous experience in a consulting role (2-4 years) in a top-tier consulting firm
  • Ability to go deep on analyzing issues at granular and operational level and reporting sharp vision and insights to top management
  • Strong agility, ability to pivot quickly, always challenging the status quo
  • Obsession on over-performance: you will have one KPI to focus on, and should do everything possible to improve it - sky is the limit in hyper-growth!
  • Analytics background: at ease working with a large set of Financial and Operational numbers (P&Ls, budgets, KPIs)
  • "Grow by growing others" mindset
  • Written and oral communication in a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural environment (different languages and backgrounds)
  • Strong interest or curiosity for the creator economy and social media
  • Organized, hard-working with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent level of English (both verbal and written)
