About your role:

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Charity partnerships team at Farewill.

This role is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly developing team and have a crucial impact on Farewill and our charity partners. Through our work with over 220 partners, we have helped thousands of people write their wills easily and in the process helped charities raise over £400 million for their cause.

As a BDM in the charity partnerships team, you will be helping charities redefine how they raise money so they can have a long-lasting impact in the community.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Take ownership of the sales cycle from initial meeting with a prospect, to demonstrating our product, negotiation and closing some of the most exciting charities in the UK
  • Build a strong pipeline of relevant opportunities to deliver against your goals
  • Build relationships with your prospects and understand their needs & pains to close the deal
  • Work collaboratively with growth executive and rest of the team to create sustainable growth and inform further proposition and tactical development
  • Ensure that every touchpoints with customers meet the highest standard
  • Guarantee accurate revenue forecasting

In the next 12 months you will:

  • You will get an in-depth knowledge of Farewill’s ecosystem, products and proposition
  • Have signed a pool of growing charities that will become active members of our charity partner network
  • build and maintain a strong understanding of the charity and legacy landscape
  • participate in the optimisation of our processes and strategies as we are always working towards improvement

Requirements

Hopefully, you’ll have some or all of the following:

  • An amazing sales skillset (prospecting, pitching, negotiating and closing)
  • A track record of hitting and exceeding sales quota
  • A talent to build long lasting relationship quickly
  • Experience selling at pace and volume to small and medium sized companies/charities
  • Ability to grasp commercial structures and strategies to support the objectives of our company and our partner

Some extra skills that would be great:

  • Knowledge and an interest in the charity sector
  • Prior experience of working for a startup is always a plus
  • An interest and ability to improve processes
  • A good eye for data and the lesson we can learn from it
  • Confidence in public speaking

*Currently our lovely office in Haggerston is available if people want — and only if they want. Previously, we had work from home Wednesdays, however, our current plan is to move to a mix of office-based and remote working.
