About the role 

The Financial Crime Manager - Outsourcing will be responsible for the delivery, execution, and oversight of the Financial Crime Team Introduced Client Outsourcing. This role will predominantly be focussed on supporting training, quality assurance and engagement to ensure the relevant service level and quality is met to maintain Modulr’s delivery of its regulatory responsibilities. 

The position is based in Edinburgh with a reporting line to the Financial Crime Manager – SME Channel Onboarding. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Ensure outsourcing processes are in line with AML/CTF & Sanctions regulations and comply fully with all regulatory and legal requirements with Horizon Scanning for future requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders including BC India, industry bodies, regulators, and law enforcement ensuring Modulr becomes a trusted partner 
  • Manage the BC India Relationship / Governance schedule
  • Create and Monitor MI to provide operational insights and ensure delivery of service in line with agreed outsourcing service levels
  • Conduct oversight Quality Assurance of cases and identify potential performance issues
  • Create, develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate and manage identified risks – monitoring to ensure these are implemented effectively and work in practice. Where shortcomings in the Financial Crime policies and procedures are identified, establish, and implement improvement measures.
  • Support forecasting and resource planning for BC India Outsourcing
  • Make Modulr a best-in-class for Financial Crime supporting the safe and sustainable growth of the business and ensuring compliance is a commercial enabler and advantage.
  • Implement and maintain a role specific training and accreditation model for BC India Outsourcing
  • Build strong relationships & governance with internal stakeholders, especially focused on customer facing & product roles to enable delivery of service & products 
  • Ensure technology and data are at the heart of our compliance agenda, identifying innovative and creative ways to maintain our strong compliance focus whilst optimising service and wider business capability.
  • Support annual risk appetite assessment, design key risk indicators, early warning indicators, and risk response strategies.
  • Lead by example through the values and principles outlined through Modulr Way
