We're looking for an experienced, ambitious and hands on Director of Product to drive forward our product market fit for banking, lending and crypto clients This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly scaling payments business and be instrumental in accelerating our growth

What we're looking for

Product at Modulr encompasses a broad portfolio of activities from strategy definition, client project delivery, technical product
development (working with engineering teams to build our platform), product packaging (value definition, commercial models), market development (engaging with new markets to find product market fit) through to support for strategic sales and presales (solution design and pitching).

To support our core activities, we are looking for a dynamic Director of Product to support and expand our product portfolio targeted at banking, lending and crypto customers You will work across the broader business focused on three core areas 1 collaborate with a
broad range of stakeholders and customers to define the product strategy for your area 2 define product/product packaging solutions
which meet customer expectations and fit within our strategic focus 3 drive product discovery, design, delivery, launch and support processes. 

Role Summary:

  • Take ownership over specific Modulr Products and manage their lifecycle and product / market
  • Work closely with Financial Service customers to create game-changing products with a clear product/market
  • Working with cross-functional teams to deliver a best in class go to market strategy from product delivery through to full product
  • Lead the Customer research strategy across your product set, to meet the real need of the customer and confidently communicate research findings and insights to the rest of the business .
  • Own and develop the product strategy for the future of the Partner integration vertical and deliver first in class products to support
  • Coordinate the cross-functional activity in launching new or enhancing products and
  • Manage a team of Product Managers, and work with the broader Product team to support our product portfolio and actively manage its market fit across a number of verticals, distribution channels and partners (e.g. refreshing value prop briefs, building and refining pricing models, producing best practice collateral, conducting user research and writing feature briefs).
  • Work with our market development teams to understand, assess and specify new market requirements and how the Modulr integration partners, the Modulr platform and API components can be positioned to address
  • Work with sales, account managers and presales teams to build and compile best in class solution designs and pitches for strategic
  • Work with the Product team to research and refine strategy for Partner integrations, focusing on value and timing of
  • Lead individual strategic initiatives that open new markets and channel partner opportunities for
  • Across the business you will champion the customer’s and user’s perspective and help teams understand the value Modulr creates for its clients.
  • Scan the regulatory landscape and lead strategic conversations with payment schemes and regulators across the UK and Europe, to ensure that Modulr can deliver on its strategic
  • Lead the pricing strategy for our products and product bundles, and ensure these are packaged and commercialised by our sales team customer success teams.

Experience & Attributes:

• At least 5 years of product management experience working in the Fintech, business banking or related space
• At further 5 years of relevant professional experience in product, professional services or
management consulting roles
• Proven analytical and quantitative skills (e.g. price and cost models, revenue forecasts, tech / infrastructure scaling models etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal skills; communicate clearly and effectively, while tailoring your approach to your audience, which will range from individuals across the business to presenting at the Board level.
• Ability to compile high-quality client / market documentation (proposals, presentations, solution designs)
• You’re comfortable working in a fast paced, ever changing and growing environment, where
your priorities might change from day to day.
• You are outcome focused, and are able to craft a clear path to achieving results for the business
• A highly strategic thinker, and comfortable with navigating the complexities of the payments space to devise thoughtful, well-sequenced solutions which help to achieve business goals
• You demonstrate a strong bias for action. You are focused on executing brilliantly, comfortable “showing” rather than “telling” your team how to get things done.
• A highly competent people manager, able to lead, inspire and get individuals to deliver their
best work. 

The Ideal Candidate

  • You have deep working experience in the Financial Service/ Fintech sector, and have created complex solutions for Enterprise customers.
  • You thrive in a rapidly changing environment, and are excited about the the prospect of taking ownership of new and existing products and setting out the best way to deliver their goals in a rapidly changing
  • You are equally comfortable working in market talking to clients and prospects, distilling their requirements for internal teams and supporting technical product delivery
  • You get a buzz from solving
