ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Responsible for the smooth operation and availability of data, analysis and dashboards to support business users
  • Engaging with business data stakeholders to take requirements, converting business questions to data questions and then transforming/analysing data to provide answers
  • Collecting and analysing data, identifying opportunities and using this knowledge to help the operational teams to help improve and optimise their processes
  • Building systems to capture, review, and analyse usage information and other key product and user data
  • Receiving, investigating and resolving data quality issues in a timely manner while putting in place long term fixes and monitoring
  • Improving existing processes / tools to ensure streamlined and efficient operations
  • Make sure user-facing teams are ready with the information and processes required to support prospects and customers
  • Ensure data is of the highest quality throughout the internal systems of the business with respect to Sales, Customer Success, Supply Chain, Professional Services and Product data
  • Helping produce automated reporting for company and team metrics
  • The successful applicant will enable the business to make more data-driven decisions by supporting clean data usage to facilitate company objectives and growth

REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • 4+ Years experience in a business intelligence or data operations role that involve analysing data
  • An inquisitive attitude that looks to explore, interpret and summarise information in an easy to consume manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the wider business
  • A data-driven and analytical mindset - can crunch numbers fast and leverage data to make decisions / recommendations. Biased towards taking action (know when to move on from analysis)
  • The ability to prioritise tasks, and communicate problems rapidly with the leadership
  • Proven ability to work with functions to identify metrics, produce reporting, segment/analyse data and discuss analysis with stakeholders to inform process change
  • Experience interacting with CRM, ERP, Customer Success/Support data 
  • Experience manipulating and transforming data using SQL
  • Experience manipulating and visualising data using a BI tool like Sisense, Tableau or Looker and spreadsheet software like Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience interacting with data lakes and data warehouses to produce analysis
  • Proven ability to influence others with the story of what you’re seeing in the data to make recommendations

Desirable

  • SaaS business and metrics experience
  • Data science experience automating processes or manipulating data utilising python or R
  • Mathematics/statistics/economics background
  • Experience in financial reporting
  • Experience of tools within the AWS ecosystem
  • Experience with HubSpot, SalesForce, Zendesk, Xero
