Some examples of projects some of our Solution Engineers have been leading from start to completion:

• Encoding quality optimisation : research the best codec settings to optimise the quality and bitrate for a specific customer use-case. Run testing and quality analysis. 
• Create a tool to report from Smart TVs to a database
• Build a remote SmartTV testing lab
• Contribute to the source code of the Bitmovin Products
• Build complex player integrations such as analytics collectors, integration with P2P streaming solutions etc. (Web, Android, iOS, Roku players) 
• Build quality analysis tools, player debugging tools. 

As a Solution Engineer you will

• Take a consultative and proactive role in customer conversations, provide customers with recommendations about their Video Streaming workflows.
• Support some of the major video streaming companies in North and South America  across a variety of use-cases by accompagnating them through their journey with Player, Analytics, DRM, Per-title encoding and help them optimize their workflows
• Take a consultative role with Product Managers to define and shape the product goals, roadmap, priorities, and strategy based on your frontline knowledge of customer needs
• Create and update customer-facing documentation based on customer interactions
• Stay up to date about industry trends and standards, competitors and open source tools. Get access to whitepapers, training and attend conferences.
• Write in-depth documentation and clarify community communications that share knowledge and radiate Bitmovin's technical strengths
• Create innovative solutions that push Bitmovin’s brand ahead of the curve
• Build and be in charge of a remote debugging environment for smart TVs 

It would be great if you have 

• Excellent written and verbal communication, love for communicating with people, put yourself in their shoes, understand and manage expectations
• 2+ years experience in a support or other service-oriented customer-facing role
• 2+ year experience in video playback technologies :  setting up a web player with DRM and investigate issues, analyse logs, analyse video Analytics reports
• Worked at one company for at least 2 years, within the last 5 years
• Ability to adapt communication to the technical skill level of the audience
• Ability to research and simplify complex technical topics in writing and verbally
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, research workarounds and report status frequently to stakeholders
• Demonstrable proficiency in Java or Python and Javascript, HTML, CSS
• Proven ability to learn a new programming language quickly and easily

It would be even better if you have

• Experience with video compression 
• Experience with Swift, Kotlin, Python, React Native
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and appreciation for the value that technologies like Serverless and Kubernetes bring to the software deployment and development process
• Experience in using support and CRM tools such as Zendesk, Intercom, and Salesforce
• Worked with Bitmovin technology elsewhere.
