Our finance team is looking for an experienced Financial Accounting Specialist for the Corporate Accounting Team.
The Financial Accounting Specialist role represents a great opportunity to gain experience and make an impact in many aspects of the finance department in a rapidly growing high-tech company.
What will you actually be doing?
- Periodical financial analysis of the consolidated financial results and support period-end close process.
- Verify compliance with corporate guidance, procedures and policies across organization
- Work with the audit team during the quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with SEC requirements.
- Implementation of new accounting standards
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary
- Prepare the Group's statutory annual and quarterly consolidated accounts (under IFRS and US GAAP) including balance sheet, statement of profit or loss and other comprehensive income, statement of changes in equity and cash flow as well as the drafting of the notes (in French and English), respecting guidelines and set deadlines;
- Review and analyze the reporting packages prepared at entity level (prepared under Local GAAP) and identify Local GAAP/IFRS and US GAAP differences;
- Prepare and update consolidation working papers according to IFRS/US GAAP accounting standards (e.g: IFRS 2 /ASC 718 Options ; IFRS 3/ASC 805 Business Combination ; IFRS 9 / ASC 815 Financials Instruments; IFRS 15/ASC 606 rev rec ; IFRS 16/ ASC 842 Leases);
- Participate in the evolution and maintenance of the consolidation tool and its interfaces in a continuous improvement approach.
- Assist with implementation and documentation of consolidation processes;
- Provide technical guidance and accounting knowledge to subsidiaries;
What should you bring to the table?
- CPA with at least 2 years of post-internship required.
- Internship in one of the Big 5 - high-tech division
- Experience in a global high-tech company - advantage
- Well-grounded knowledge and comprehensive understanding of financial accounting and reporting under US GAAP and SEC requirements.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and strive well in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent English, interpersonal and communication skills- Must
- Team player, result driven, willing to make an impact, highly committed
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- NetSuite experience – advantage
