Senior IT Automation Engineer

GetYourGuide is the place to book the best experiences in destinations across the globe. We are expanding our Corporate IT team within the People department and looking for a Senior IT Automation Engineer. 

Working closely with user support and our workplace team you will have the opportunity to make an impact across the business by leading and supporting projects that will bring the employee experience to the next level.Your main focus will be on optimizing existing solutions while introducing new applications and processes, building integrations and automation that help us scale. =

Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Create solutions to automate key process across the support teams (User support, Workplace, HR, Finance, etc) 
• Build and maintain integrations across diverse cloud platforms 
• Continuously improve our systems, processes and their documentation
• Design and develop efficient implementations that can continue to scale
• Interface with and support key stakeholders, across different stages of projects
• Support our application availability, performance and security
• Be an escalation point for the user support team, and a strong advocate for our end-users, customers, and stakeholders

Your profile

• Strong personal commitment to quality and customer service
• Solution oriented, root cause analysis over temporary patching
• Highly technical and pragmatic personality who engages in challenges
• Solution oriented, with the ability to balance short-term gains versus long-term stability
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathize and relate to a variety of non-technical users
• A strong ownership attitude and a track record of taking responsibility for problems and pushing through to resolution
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position in a fast-growing tech company

Technical Expertise

• Scripting, with working experience with APIs and integration/automation (Python, Bash, Powershell)
• Data analysis (Python, SQL, Excel) 
• Cloud services Azure, AWS or GCP

Experience with the following would be a big plus:

• Google Workspace
• Identity services like AD, OneLogin/Okta
• Torii SaaS management platform
• Authentication protocols (SAML, SCIM, LDAP)
• Atlassian products - Jira, Confluence
• Best-practices in software development
