The position: Group Financial Accountant
The successful candidate will be expected to enhance the strength of the Global Finance Team in order to meet the ambitious strategic and reporting goals of the business. This role reports to the Group Finance Manager and may require some travel.
The role will also work closely with various department heads.
Location: This role is based at AMCS Group HQ, City East Plaza, Castletroy, Ballysimon, Limerick.
Key responsibilities of the position are as follows:
Finance Partner
Partner role supporting the regional finance business partners, including operational reviews and continuous improvement projects
Finance lead in cross functional/departmental projects to drive operational efficiencies
Financial analysis of product and customer profitability and trends
Provide support and technical expertise to colleagues across the business
Liaise with budget holders, and provide them with accurate data to enable them to meet their targets.
Financial Reporting – in line with tight Group deadlines
Monthly financial close across multiple statutory entities with variance analysis to budget and forecast.
Preparation of monthly departmental reporting packs.
Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet packs, ensuring consistency across all subsidiaries, with detailed supporting schedules and backup documentation across all accounts.
Participate in internal and external audit process and liaise with auditors, and involvement in local statutory accounts.
Forecasting, Budgeting & Other Reporting
Assist in all areas of budgeting, forecasting and preparation of strategic plans, including the coordination, completion and maintenance of the budgeting model
Assist in the preparation of monthly P&L and cashflow forecasts with associated commentary
Develop and implement dashboards and ad hoc reports and analysis when requested
Change Management
Experience with acquisition and system integrations is preferable.
Must be able to work on own initiative and identify and implement continuous improvement processes.
Must be able to engage in and drive digital transformation projects.
Qualifications Experience
The successful candidate will have a primary degree qualification in Business/Accounting & Finance and a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role is required and experience or knowledge of the Software Industry would be a distinct advantage!
