About the Role
The Commercial Operations Manager/Director is responsible for the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Go To Market (GTM) organisation and champions close working partnerships with internal and external key stakeholders to ensure the GTM Team Success.

You are the Trusted advisor for the GTM team through meaningful leadership, transparent & insightful reporting, and proactive time to resolution.

In addition, should offer insight and drive sales process innovation to the broader business, drive simplification across the business processes and assistance in the development and execution of key strategies for sustained growth.

You have worked in an organisation that has taken advantage of Account Based Marketing and digital performance. You were ideally involved in its setup or helped improve its efficiency.

 

Reporting and data

  • Reporting
    • Including gap analysis, rep/SDR/CS performance

    • Slipped deal analysis Lost deals, ASP etc

  • Run the business cadence
    • Deliver forecast and quarterly results.

    • Plan and support QBRs

  • Pipeline:
    • Assure global consistency, accuracy, and business alignment to forecasting, pipeline management

    • Support initiative to deliver to 4x in all areas

    • Deal Reviews to constantly improve forecast accuracy

    • Review and improvement planning of, velocity, and conversion

    • Where to next?

Budgeting and compensation

  • Budget
    • Ongoing budgeting planning:

    • Quota, efficiency, productivity per rep

    • Planning and reporting on budget and forecast

  • Compensation
    • Manage compensation structure and changes

    • Field operating policies

    • Final point of call with decision

Wider role:

  • Special Projects
    • Special projects will be part of your role.

    • You ideally have a great understanding of ABM

  • Collaboration

  • Ensure tight collaboration within the GTM organisation Sales, Marketing, Channel, Customer success

  • ensure transparency across leadership teams

  • Sales process improvements, optimisation and Best practice
    • Work with Sales Enablement and Sales engineering

    • Proactively work on the new product rollout, timing, training, pricing

  • Keep CRO and VPs ahead of business issues, specific to forecast and quarterly results, and concerns to proactively address versus reactively address

 


Your background:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of how processes, data, and technology can enable problems and opportunities

  • Capable of breaking down complex issues and identifying key drivers; can identify cross-functional upstream and downstream impacts

  • Demonstrated experience with project work and change management in demanding and dynamic environments, with tight deadlines

  • Experience in a Sales Operations role within an enterprise SaaS business. Preferably in the startup SaaS world

  • Proficient with Salesforce, Excel and Presentation

  • Experience of building processes and ‘finding issues' and seeking to resolve them independently.

  • As this role is highly cross functional Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
