Job description

As a Data Engineer, you will join JobTeaser's Data Platform team which is working on a new technical stack deployed on AWS around Kafka, Kubernetes, Airflow, PostgreSQL, S3.

The role of the Data Platform team is to provide teams with reliable and intelligible data, and to offer self-service products for autonomous data collection, transformation and exploration.

Your mission if you accept it:
  • Participate in the architecture and development of our platform:
    • setting up and maintaining data collection pipelines
    • continuous improvement of our tracking system
    • reliability and quality of data
    • implementation of a data aggregation and transformation solution
    • supply and maintenance of our datawarehouse and our datalake
    • construction of the tables of our reference data model
  • Participate in the ideation phases with developers from other teams to design new features or data products
  • Participate in the optimization of the existing stack and its exploitation in the philosophy "You build it, you ship it, you run it".
  • Participate in code reviews and provide support to the rest of the team
  • Participate in sprint planning, grooming sessions, stand-ups and team retrospectives
  • In coordination with the Lead Data Engineer and the other members of the team, be proactive and contribute to our continuous improvement: organization, process, code quality and maintainability, refactoring


Examples of current and future projects:
  • Design and implement a data ingestion solution for our application micro-services
  • Build reference tables for the operational and strategic management of our marketing campaigns
  • Allow third-party tools used by marketing and product teams to consume tracking data
  • Set up a system for aggregating and transforming our data
  • Optimize the structuring of data sources to improve the display performance of our Embed Analytics dashboards
  • And many other great challenges!

Qualifications

Your qualifications
  • You have a Bac + 5 training in an engineering school, business school or university equivalent
  • You have at least 4 years of experience in data engineering or python development (with notions and a strong appetite for data)
  • You are proficient in Python and SQL
  • Good knowledge of data processing issues (ETL, data streaming, etc.)
  • Familiar with infrastructure issues with platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong culture of development quality and best practices
  • You are as interested in the business as in the technical aspects
  • You measure your success by that of your team
  • You are pragmatic and well organized, good communicator and pedagogue
