AMCS Group has an immediate opening for an innovative Senior Technical Program Manager. As AMCS continue to invest in AMCS Platform and accelerate conversion of customers from classic solutions there is still a business imperative to adequately support the technical needs of the Classic Customer base. This means assisting these customers with their transition, providing value add during the transition period and ensuring Classic solutions remain secure, stable and performant until customer has upgraded to AMCS Platform. This role is open to candidates to work onsite at our Global HQ in Limerick, but also to candidates working remotely who can visit the office when required on a monthly basis.

 

The successful Program Manager will have experience managing a geographically dispersed team to deliver high quality technical solutions whilst navigating the transition of AMCS customers and team members to AMCS Platform.

Covering both EMEA and North America, the candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to lead multiple technical teams in delivering strong technical solutions whilst harnessing the deep industry and customer knowledge in these teams to accelerate our strategy of upgrade to AMCS Platform. The successful candidate will have a project management mindset. He/she will be metric driven, have a process-oriented development philosophy, a good understanding of software quality management, with a proven ability and interest in managing a development team to deliver on the key operational and strategic objectives.

 

Technical Program Manager Responsibilities:

•Lead the design, implementation and execution of standardised processes and metrics (required to keep Classic solutions secure, stable and performant) across the various Classic Dev teams.  

•Guide and support the Classic Dev teams to help accelerate our strategy of upgrade to AMCS Platform.

•Partner with Product Management to ensure your needs of Classic customers are fully understood and provided for in AMCS Platform.

•Balance competing priorities to ensure effective technical support of Classic customers whilst looking for opportunities to drive the upgrade to AMCS Platform.

•Develop and motivate the team members currently supporting Classic customers with aim of providing path forward post migration to AMCS Platform.

•Change Management – ensure to engage people within the teams as well as other key stakeholders as part of migration journey

•Communicate with key internal stakeholders across functions on an ongoing basis throughout migration path

•Operational management – Capacity planning; Budgetary Management; Use data to objectively measure impact and optimize engineering processes, leveraging best practices to standardise across all teams where it makes sense.

•Meet deadlines, coordinate with technical team members to deliver quality results

 

Technical Program Manager Requirements:

·        Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, software engineering, technology management, business management, or similar.

·        Minimum of 5 years experience in technical program management in a software environment

·        Advanced knowledge of the full life-cycle of product development.

·        Experience in product development planning and providing leadership.

·        Ability to collaborate with Software Engineers and report to senior managers.

·        Extensive experience in software product engineering, deployment, and integration.

·        Ability to evaluate product performance metrics, as well as diagnose and resolve issues.

·        Advanced proficiency in programming languages and coding, such as C#, .net & SQL

·        Ability to keep up with advancements in the field of technical product development.
