As a Resource Manager in Professional Services reporting into the Director, RMO, you play an instrumental role in our Professional Services team by identifying and assigning skilled internal and contractor resources to successfully deliver projects on a timely basis and ensure optimal usage of resources to drive PS utilization and financial goals. We are looking for an organized, upbeat individual, ready to impact our day-to-day execution.

Salsify is headquartered in Boston, MA. This position is open to remote employees based across the US.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

Resource Management

  • Identify and assign an effective mix of appropriately skilled resources to successfully deliver projects on a timely basis and ensure optimal usage of resources to drive PS utilization and financial goals.
  • Effectively use the Kimble PSA tool, skills matrix, and other methods necessary to identify and assign resources to projects based on available capacity and pipeline and backlog demand.
  • Ability to analyze and solve staffing requirements by working proactively with PS resources to optimize allocations in response to project escalations and prioritizations.
  • Effective use of transitioning assignments to other resources and adding supplemental resources to balance workload.
  • Understanding of relationship between pipeline and backlog demand vs capacity.
  • Contribute to capacity model and skills tracking model and process.
  • Understanding of how resourcing impacts resource utilization and impacts on revenue and P&L.
  • Ensure tools, process, and standard methodologies are in place to enable effective resourcing.

Process and System Support

  • Guide PS team in use of PSA tool and process improvement initiatives
  • Serve as a point of contact for Kimble PSA end-users, collaborate across the team and cross-functionally, and perform functional support as needed
  • Identify, develop, and document use cases to drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the analysis, testing and deployment of changes to Kimble PSA and Salesforce
  • Build and maintain user documentation to support new processes and system releases.
  • Define and maintain documentation of key artifacts, processes and system functionality/tools
  • Develop training materials to ensure new functionality is clearly detailed and reflected accurately
  • Track implementation of new processes to ensure acceptance/alignment and identify subsequent changes
  • Coordinate and deliver resource management-related operational system and process onboarding activities for new Services resources.

Perform related administrative activities, including but not limited to:

  • Product element creation and maintenance
  • Engagement set up in preparation for resource assignments
  • Set up and maintain resource master data: calendars, start dates, employee/contractor designation, report to information, etc.
  • Maintain utilization related data: utilization profiles and ramp ups, time entry categories and related non-project assignments
  • Maintain Services e-mail distribution lists

You’ll Enjoy This Role if You Have:

  • 3+ years of work experience in a resource management operations role in a professional services organization. Experience in the software industry is greatly valued
  • Experience with a shared resource model with resources working across multiple projects and project teams
  • Hands-on expertise with PSA (preferably Kimble) and SFDC platform
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an audience-appropriate manner
  • Sound judgment with effective decision-making skills and strong independent problem-solving
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targeted timelines while handling and prioritizing simultaneous requests
  • A creative and analytical problem-solver
  • Commitment and ability to thrive in a fast pace and, at times, demanding environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong data management abilities, data hygiene focus, and are highly detail oriented
  • Expertise using Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
