The Senior Accountant should be a motivated self-starter and have an interest in helping to develop processes and controls in a dynamic and growth-oriented company.  The ideal candidate will have the drive and ambition to work beyond their role and will have the ability to grow their talents at Salsify.  The Senior Accountant will have responsibility over many aspects of the balance sheet, including prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, etc.  In addition, the Senior Accountant will play a critical role in the design and rollout of new systems and tools to streamline processes and procedures.  This position reports to the Assistant Controller.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Participate in month-end close activities, which includes preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end accruals in accordance with US GAAP
  • Perform account analysis on period over period fluctuations various balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Assist in the creation of various schedules in support of our financial statement preparation and annual audit
  • Assist with international accounting as required
  • Collaborate cross functionally with various departments, including FP&A, Marketing, Services, Engineering, etc. to ensure accurate and complete general ledger activity and proper classification on the financial statements
  • Review AP invoices and work with accounts payable to understand business transitions and ensure they have the appropriate accounting treatment and classification
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects for the Corporate Controller and Assistant Controller as they arise

You'll Enjoy This Role If You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • Previous experience as a Senior Accountant is a plus
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Organized and detail oriented
