🧩 You will make an impact by…
As a Director of Engineering you’ll lead three engineering teams, who together are responsible for all the payments services within our products. With the engineering managers, the Director of Engineering works within their defined scope to create and maintain any relevant software and products produced and sold by Supermetrics.
The Director of Engineering is responsible for the delivery and the accountability of their staff with respect to all aspects of their department’s scope; reports directly to the VP of Engineering and helps to build a transparent and effective way of communication between management and other departments
Ideally, you’ll be located in Helsinki.
🔧 What you will do:
- Be responsible for key performance indicators (KPIs) that indicate their technology and product success for their group of teams
- Work with the lead product manager for their group of teams to ensure that goals are correctly set and prioritised in any given month/quarter/half, all obstacles are defined and communicated with stakeholders and team members
- Work with Engineering and Product Managers of their department and other parts of the organisation including other Engineering Managers or the Engineering Management Team to figure out the best technological solutions
- Become the second level hiring manager for their teams where needed to help estimate capacity of the teams, define hiring plan, source, interview, hire and onboard employees with the help of the People Ops team
