About the Finance Team
WeTransfer aims to build simple tools around people’s creative process, on any device. It is our responsibility to build a pragmatic and thoughtful finance team to advise our business on all financial matters. The team is establishing scalable processes to take our business to the next stage. The mathematically minded, the Excel connoisseurs or simply the keepers of our credit cards— however we refer to them, the WeTransfer finance team keeps our money matters in check. We are looking for a Senior Finance Director who will report to the CFO and will be responsible for defining the financial and control processes, developing our tax and treasury strategy and contributing to the financial and company strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Defines the financial and control processes, including technical accounting, statutory reporting, tax (corporate, indirect and employment), treasury and transactional processes for the company
Create and develop our tax and treasury (including investment) strategy, together with an execution and implementation approach
Contributes as a Senior Finance Management Team member to both the financial and company strategy
Together with your team you ensure timely, accurate and compliant financial reporting for all locations and entities globally
Responsible for establishing and maturing necessary policies, processes and tooling with a focus on continuous improvement to deliver greater efficiencies and maximising effectiveness of execution
Required Experience
Strong proficiency in Finance & Accounting
Registered accountant
Has comprehensive experience with auditing processes
international experience in multi-entity companies, and can act both as a finance controller and strategic sparring partner
Must have experience either managing or working in Tax and Treasury functions
Ideally has experience in an international fast growing, venture-backed company or in the ‘start-up’ business of a larger corporate.
