We are looking for an Engineering Manager to guide people, drive technical decisions and help develop our marketplace area and related customer channels.

You will lead and build up the newly created Fulfillment team within GetYourGuide’s FinTech group. Its mission is to ensure a seamless experience for customers pre-purchase and especially post-purchase, anticipating potential problems and solving them before they happen. Key product areas include:

  • Booking management features, such as cancellation and rescheduling
  • Meeting points and hotel pickups
  • Tickets
  • Customer care tools such as chat and chatbots
  • Help center and other self-service features

You will: 

Engineering Managers are accountable for the performance of their teams, according to the following dimensions:

Who you are: 

  • Passionate people manager in a technical team
  • Customer-centric prioritization and data-driven decision-making
  • Strong product sense and ability to identify and drive improvements in proxy metrics
  • Technical excellence (operations, on-call, quality)
  • Software development experience comparable to a Senior Software Engineer
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in (or closely with) e-commerce, travel and/or customer care
  • Experience in scale-up environments
  • Experience as a product manager/owner
