About the Opportunity

 

Salsify is headquartered in Boston, MA. This position is open to remote employees in the US. 

This is a unique and exciting time at Salsify to join our Business Technology team (BizTech) as Director, CRM Systems. We are enabling the success of Salsify business operations through development of our business systems. You will partner across Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Customer Success, and Professional Service leaders to guide transformational initiatives related to CRM technologies, systems, and programs such as Salesforce, Marketo, Gainsight, Kimble PSA, and Clari. Our customers are our fellow Salsify employees, and we are passionate about providing them with outstanding service. You also will work with them to align on priorities, plans, and delivery expectations.

You will be a valued collaborator and leader as we continue to build our technical delivery, agile development practices, and overall CRM systems support function. You’re a leader and an individual contributor responsible for delivering customer value and surfacing empirical data to guide the decision-making, commitments, and roadmap. Critical thinking and awareness to raise issues, remove roadblocks, and actively seek opportunities to serve and enable growth and understanding with our business partners. You also will align to a consolidated roadmap and strategy for fulfilling business demands today and for the future.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Lead multi-functional teams to deliver valuable outcomes through the management of key projects and initiatives from beginning to end
  • Actively drive the development life cycle from requirements analysis, feasibility estimates, design, code, documentation, testing, implementation, and support.
  • Identify and lead the implementation of new solutions across our CRM systems to ensure that they are organized and delivered in a way to achieve maximum business value
  • Partner with business leaders to translate their priorities into technical solutions, drive simplification and alignment across system and business needs
  • Work in an agile environment to lead a team that builds high-quality, well-tested solutions that meet/exceed the project timelines and objectives
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners for the definition, planning, modeling, governance, and implementation of financial system technology capabilities and it's associated data
  • Stay ahead of current and future trends in technology that supports our Go-to-Market  teams including Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Customer Success, and Professional Services.
  • Deep business insight into business processes that support our Finance and Accounting teams.
  • Proven track record as a successful technology leader with extensive experience in the NetSuite platform
  • Assist in driving Lead-to-Quote, Quote-to-Order, and Accounting-to-Financial Reporting value streams and process management knowledge
  • Possess a solid understanding of IT (including application programming, database, and system design) and business environments
  • Promote an environment where problems can be raised without fear and team members can engage in debate and problem solving

You'll Enjoy This Role If You Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field is preferred
  • 10+ years of CRM systems experience
  • 5+ years of experience on the Salesforce platform is a must; hands-on experience with other CRM systems such as Marketo, Gainsight, Kimble PSA, and Clari is desirable
  • 5+ years at Sr. Manager level or above in leading CRM systems teams
  • Salesforce Certifications are not required but will set you apart from other candidates
  • Experience in application architecture and making rational buy vs. build and interface decisions
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming product requirements into a practical product roadmap.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work equally well in self-managed and team-based Agile/Scrum projects
  • Solid experience with integration between multiple, highly complex systems
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Salesforce CPQ, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and lead-to-order processes, techniques, and technologies
  • Experience in SaaS
  • Experience in pre-IPO companies and understanding the controls and processes that must be in place to support compliance initiatives such as SOX
