Company Website

After an incredibly successful 2022, hx is poised to dominate the insurtech market. The newly established marketing function is entering an exciting period of scale, and we are seeking an exceptional Marketing Content, Communications and Creative Senior Manager to play a key role in supporting the business in achieving our ambitious growth targets. This is a senior, high impact position, taking ownership of our PR, Content and Design strategy and building a function that supports the insurer buying cycle from building our brand profile, driving demand and engagement in our key personas throughout the sales funnel and beyond. If you’re a creative storyteller and builder who would love to shape the future of hx, and who thrives in an environment of change and agility, then we want to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and build the function. This is a newly created role, and you will inherit one great Content Marketing Manager and our newly appointed PR agency
  • Select the right software and tools for our content strategy, and onboard and manage agencies and freelancers where required
  • Lead on all media and communications strategies including product launches, customer stories, industry research and campaigns, managing the PR agency and internal stakeholders
  • Develop an executive platform strategy that drives news media coverage as well as influencer and social media engagement, and plan for the CEO and other key senior business leaders
  • Partner with subject matter experts internally and externally to develop thought leadership material that will drive coverage and engagement from our priority, executive personas
  • Build a targeted content strategy based on deep understanding of our priority personas that will drive demand and engagement at every stage of the buyer journey and across channels and support the wider marketing and business objectives
  • Own the execution of hx’s editorial calendar and content strategy, including website content, thought leadership material, blogs, podcasts, research and whitepapers - as well as technical product sheets and demo videos
  • Foster a best-practice and results-driven mindset in how we work and operate; developing, measuring and tracking communications and content metrics which highlight effectiveness against the targets and strategic goals
  • Manage the customer advocacy program and work directly with customers to craft their hx case studies
  • Own our Design capability whether that be insourced or outsourced. Be the custodian and evangelist of our brand and ensure that it is usable, composable and adopted consistently throughout hx
  • Build a strong interlock with the Product team (given their close relation to Design) and promote a premium and consistent manifestation of our brand product and non-product
  • Work cross-functionally with the function leads in campaigns, events, product marketing and SDR to ensure that we take an integrated approach to all that we do
  • Be ready to get hands-on, brainstorm, share ideas and dive into all aspects of marketing!

Persona

  • You’re a natural storyteller. Your writing commands attention and elicits action. You know how to create communications that inform and inspire, and can simplify the complex for maximum impact
  • When you create stories or content, you think about how and why it will be consumed. You’re skilled at telling stories across multiple channels in a way that’s integrated yet optimised for every touchpoint
  • You are a strong player-coach - happiest switching between strategic and getting hands-on in the execution
  • You are metrics-driven and love understanding what works best and why, and what impact your content has on the bottom line
  • You have an eye for brand and design, and hold yourself, your team, and the wider company to a high bar in respect of design quality and consistency

Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years’ professional experience across content or PR focused roles - ideally in insurtech or fintech
  • Previous experience managing cross-discipline teams and agencies
