Job Description

It’s an exciting time here at Nexthink, one of exponential growth and transformation. To support the growing needs of the business, we’ve created a new role Senior Accounting Manager to join the team reporting to our International Controller. This role is expected to work very closely with the Consolidation and Tax teams, also reporting to the International Controller.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all accounting, audit, tax, and financial systems for the Swiss entity, which is our main entity as Headquarters for Nexthink Group are based in Switzerland
  • Take an active role in processing all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash, Payroll, Statutory Revaluation, and Intercompany transactions, in a multi-currency environment
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes for the Swiss entity
  • Produce the monthly reporting package for the Swiss entity and share with Senior Leadership team upon request
  • Manage, mentor, coach and develop a team of 2 accountants, with a strong focus on growth and development
  • Manage the statutory audit process for the Swiss entity - Support and coordinate all internal and external audit activity
  • Guide and ensure compliance of global policies and statutory requirements related to financial reporting (“Code des Obligations”)
  • Accountable for proper procedures, policies and controls being in place in order to maintain strong internal controls and continuous education of team members to ensure compliance with these requirements
  • Ensure that all Swiss financial statements, statutory and tax reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Identify and implement any systems enhancement and workflow optimization to be able to reduce the closing timeline
  • Focus on continuously improve working capital and DPO for the Swiss entity
  • Support the controlling department with all technical tasks related to the ERP, such as closing the accounting periods or support revaluation exercise
  • Collaborate with the Treasury Manager to put in place sustainable cash pooling processes
  • Collaborate with Global Accounting and FP&A teams on projects
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects for the controlling department whenever needed
  • Act as back up for the Senior Accounting Manager – EMEA

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Accounting or Finance
  • Swiss CPA required
  • Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience
  • Minimum of 3 years managing a team of accountants
  • Netsuite (Oracle) experience a must have
  • Depth of knowledge of “Code des Obligations”
  • Technology savvy with advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Fluent in English and French required
  • Experience with US GAAP and working for a publicly traded company a plus
  • Hands on, organized and structured
