AMCS is recruiting for an experienced Senior Network Engineer who will be accountable for developing, maintaining and troubleshooting our data networks. Our ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills along with a thorough knowledge of the architecture, administration and security of data networks. In the role, you'll work collaboratively with the Cyber security team to ensure all aspects of the network are secure and data protection remains at the forefront of the network design.

The following are the key requirements for the role:

·         Design, deploy, monitor and troubleshoot LAN, WLAN & WAN using a variety of network equipment, software and protocols including layer2/3 switches, spanning tree, fiber, firewalls, routers, WAP, VLANs, etc.

·         Maintain, enhance, and contribute to the documentation around network tools, processes & procedures.

·         Support the configuration, deployment and ongoing maintenance of servers, routers and other network devices.

·         Monitor network performance and integrity.

·         Mentor team members on technical issues

·         Creating and presenting networking reports.

·         Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability·     

·         Develop technical solutions which help mitigate security vulnerabilities through automating tasks and actions on the network devices

Requirements:

·         5+ years’ experience working in a global IT Network environment.

·         A degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline or equivalent is desirable.

·         Ability to implement routing and switching configuration on Cisco, Fortinet and Sophos Devices

·         Have acquired or be in the process of acquiring a technical certification E.G. Cisco CCNA, Cisco CBROPS, Cisco CBRCOR, Cisco CBRFIR, Cisco SCOR, Cisco SVPN, Cisco SAUTO, FortiGate Essentials, FortiGate Security, FortiGate Infrastructure, FortiGate Enterprise Firewall technology certifications.

·         Ability to program (ex. tasks automation, network automation, network monitoring)

·         An Azure or AWS cloud certification would be beneficial.

·         Prior experience with vulnerability & patch management programs and tools, change control and general IT governance processes.

·         Possess a good understanding of IT architecture and security architecture methodologies, such as SABSA, CIS Framework, NIST, SOC, PCI, HIPAA.

·         Strong Knowledge of Network protocols (ex. routing, switching, client/server communications, TCP/IP, OSI, Server Hardening). Knowledge of Linux and Windows server technologies.

·         Experienced with cybersecurity controls including Firewalls, DDoS, IPS/IDS, URL Filtering, SIEM Solutions, Web Application Firewalls, multi-factor authentication, PKI’s Environment, anti-malware protections, anomaly detection, etc.

·         Experience with mobility solutions including MDM, MAM, auto-enrolment, and BYOD.

·         Experience with cloud solutions including identity management, Federation, ADFS, AD Connect, SAML would be beneficial.

·         Must have a general understanding of data protection and privacy requirements and regulations, specifically the new General Data Protection Regulation.

·         Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the IT organisation, Senior management, and business personnel.
