The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced  Senior Microsoft Systems Administrator to join our Infrastructure team.

Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Lead, the Senior Microsoft Systems Administrator will work as part of the Infrastructure Team to manage, maintain and scale our internal and external Microsoft Infrastructure services.

Featurespace operates a heterogeneous technology environment.  The successful candidate will require a wide range of skills, knowledge & experience to help Featurespace operate to a high standard and enable Featurespace to scale globally.

This role would be responsible for driving our Microsoft infrastructure forward. This includes taking part in activities via the ticketing systems, system operations activities (capacity management and planning, upgrades and security related tasks), and participation in projects to deliver to time critical deadlines

Day to Day

  • Configuring internal and production systems to meet best practice, policy and contractual requirements for information/IT security
  • Information/IT security monitoring, auditing and reporting
  • Managing storage and access of sensitive data
  • Assisting with general systems administration as require
About You

Must haves:
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of Windows Server technology including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of the following Windows services and application servers: ADFS, DNS, ​ DHCP, NTP, and Print
  • Knowledge of Hyper-V administration, monitoring, high availability, and clustering
  • Experience with managing Windows updates using WSUS or equivalent systems
  • Best practice and architectural knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Active Directory
  • Experience managing services with cloud providers such as Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS
  • Experience implementing and scaling backup solutions including developing or enhancing enterprise disaster recovery strategies
  • Implementation and administration of deployment solutions such as System Center Configuration Manager
  • Experience of automation and advanced level scripting with PowerShell
  • Exposure to networking and wireless infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Visio and experience creating architecture diagrams
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and approaches
  • Experience working in a PCI DSS (or equivalent) compliant environment
Nice to haves
  • Microsoft Power BI experience
  • Microsoft SharePoint administration experience
  • Knowledge of integration of common of Multi-factor authentication solutions
  • Familiarity with Ubuntu and/or CentOS operating systems
  • Familiarity with Python programming language
  • Experience with Linux/AD Integration using sssd
  • Prior experience in Financial / Fintech industry
