Industrial Designer/Surface Modeller
This role will have the capability to assist the design team on delivering hardware outcomes that demonstrate the brand vision and engage our rapidly growing user base.
The right candidate will be a keen Industrial Designer/Surface Modeller and be able to prepare CAD models of concepts showing flare, working alongside a talented industrial and engineering tram, will be able to define CAD models in-line with the creative vision and technical constraints.
What you’ll do:
- Translate design concepts into 3D CAD quickly and efficiently
- Assist the design team in creating groundbreaking hardware solutions
- Conceive, create, develop and deliver incredible products
- Drive creative solutions to problems
- Working with the wider stakeholders to ensure breathtaking integration with our digital products
What we're looking for:
- Be a creative force in a small team, supporting innovative, fresh concept designs and thinking
- First class CAD modelling abilities - the ability to translate sketches and physical models to 3D
- Great product visualisation skills - sketching, rendering etc.
- A good ability to translate ideas into physical models - foam, clay etc.
- A solid understanding of manufacturing
- Be able to support effectively in the delivery of concepts from initial insight through to manufacture
- Work alongside your design team and your Mechanical engineers to define a workable and creatively appropriate solution
- 6+ years of experience in the industry
- Great knowledge of 3D modelling software including Solidworks
- Follow a ‘fail fast’ mentality
- The ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A visually engaging portfolio that showcases your skillset and most importantly, you!
