Featurespace is the world leader in Adaptive Behavioural Analytics technology for fraud and risk management. Using machine learning and anomaly detection, our ARIC platform helps financial institutions and organizations around the globe stop fraud in real time.

But we're more than just a tech company, our biggest asset is our people who are exceptionally talented and dedicated to fighting fraud and protecting our customers from risk.

Led by CEO Martina King, one of the 25 Most Influential Women in Payments 2018, and an award-winning management team (Sunday Times, 2018), we’ve had consecutive years of outstanding growth and commercial success. And it's only getting better; we received more than 14 awards and accolades in 2018, including the Queen's Award for Enterprise.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a bright, flexible and enthusiastic candidate to join our growing QA Automation team, to be based in either our Cambridge or London offices.

As an Automation Engineer, you will write automated API and UI tests using our in-house framework to provide optimal test coverage for the features you are responsible for and report any defects. You will work in a growing team of engineers from software development, automation, performance and QA teams.

The role requires a can-do attitude to tackle any feature, understand it and develop the tests for it. The candidate will have to work well in a small team and liaise with the development engineers, project managers and QA engineers to understand the requirements and use it to deliver a sufficient test coverage. We are looking for experienced candidates whose primary focus is testing but are comfortable enough with Java (or a similar OOP language) to utilise our existing framework and implement their test cases in an automated fashion.

Day to Day

  • Develop automation test cases using Java
  • Break down and write test cases to ensure complete coverage
  • Be responsible for the quality during the product life cycle
  • Reporting and managing defects through to successful resolution

About You

  • The ideal candidate will have strong practical experience with developing automation tests (both API and UI) using Object Oriented Programming such as Java and C# - you will need to know and understand fundamental OOP principles, experience with BDD alone isn't sufficient
  • Working experience with testing tools such as TestNG, Junit, Nunit
  • Working knowledge of agile software development
  • Working knowledge of defect management tools such as YouTrack, Jira, ALM
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integrations (CI) tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or related fields
  • Working knowledge with Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge of non-functional testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner

Personal Qualities

The work is often challenging and fast paced. We are looking for someone who has the following qualities:

  • Enjoys working in a team of like-minded and intelligent people to solve complex problems
  • A passion to learn new technical skills and for testing
  • Enthusiasm and a positive approach
  • A passion to work for one of the fastest growing fraud prevention technologies in the world

And most importantly, a small-company attitude: willingness to adapt to a variable role and a great can-do attitude.

Salary & Benefits

We believe in giving you the resources you need so that innovation can thrive.

In addition to competitive salaries, we offer:

  • Quarterly bonus scheme
  • Pension scheme
