Engineering Lead (remote)

The opportunity

We’re an ambitious company that is looking to continue our rapid growth. The successful candidate will join a cross-functional and distributed team dedicated to innovate experiences for millions of crafters globally. We are building a new user experience based on GraphQL and next-gen Vue Storefront (Nuxt) – we sponsor and participate in its development. Whilst our content and community backends are already powered by APIs, we are migrating our catalog and commerce backend to commercetools, a leader in headless commerce. This will form the foundation for further innovation and our future growth.

 

We’re looking for an Engineering Lead to lead a cross-functional product development team. This is a full-time remote role for candidates based in Ukraine.

 

What you will be doing

Lead a cross-functional team and collaborate with product managers, designers and management to deliver exceptional experiences for our users

Develop performant, accessible and progressive user interfaces

Ensure your team is delivering projects on time meeting quality expectations

Mentor and advance engineers taking into consideration their aspirations

Create a healthy and enjoyable engineering culture, leading by example

Actively contribute to technical vision, architectural design, software development cycle (SDLC), testing, code reviews and documentation

Share knowledge and experience with team members

Who are you

7+ years of experience in software engineering with recent 2+ years leading engineering teams

Experience running high-traffic consumer-facing websites, preferably with React/Vue

Experience with JavaScript and other programming languages

Comfortable with people management and processes

Willing to participate in our on-call rota

Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English
