The Senior Project Manager, Marketing partners with internal and external teams to lead communication, production and delivery of cross-functional campaigns, helping to shape and execute WeTranfers’ diverse marketing strategy. 
As the Senior Project Manager, you take the time to understand the opportunities and limitations of any given project. You take responsibility for setting and managing expectations, internally and with partners. You deliver on time, within budget and against agreed objectives. 
The ideal candidate has experience in operations and full project lifecycle management, preferably with a marketing and communications focus. You’re proactive; always a few steps ahead, spotting risks and defining solutions, and discussing them fearlessly. You know how to gain the trust of both senior- and junior- team members, and understand how to get the best work out of those around you. You set clear goals and expectations and lay out the path to successful delivery. All-star communication skills are required, to ensure teams can coordinate across 5 offices and multiple time zones. 

Key Responsibilities

    • Own the full project lifecycle management, from briefing to delivery, helping shape the project plan and managing the path to success.
    • Drive multiple projects and streams of work concurrently while still meeting deadlines and maintaining proper documentation and reporting.
    • Manage a large group of cross-functional stakeholders (including strategy, design, engineering, pr, and product) to align on project expectations and produce integrated campaigns that deliver on them.
    • Confidently navigate and prioritize business needs, resource management, schedules and financials to deliver all aspects of the assignment.
    • Own and maintain the Marketing team’s Asana board, keeping a birds-eye view on current and upcoming projects, their respective boards, calendars, and key milestones.
    • Proactively share project updates, including schedules, key decisions and blockers, ensuring stakeholders have full awareness of project statuses, on a rolling basis.
    • Collaborate with our partner offices (in LA and NYC) to integrate projects and milestones into broader company roadmaps. Proactively identify opportunities for efficiencies between teams and offices.
    • Ensure active maintenance of project documentation, including detailed project plans and summaries, roadmaps, and program level communications.
    • Define and adapt processes to ensure that the team is working as efficiently as possible.
    • Facilitate conversations between necessary parties between milestones to ensure that decisions are made and the project moves forward. Escalate at the right time, before an issue becomes a risk.

Hard skills/Must haves

    • 7+ years in a role coordinating cross-functional teams, with 4+ experience in digital marketing
    • Proficient in various Project Management software tools (Asana, Wrike, etc.)
    • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
    • Experience managing remote teams
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to break down complex information
    • PMP certification is a bonus
