AMCS has an exciting opportunity for a new Group Revenue Accountant based at our head office in Limerick. This position will report to the Group Finance Business Partner and will work closely with finance and other senior managers across our global business, working on projects and tasks to clear requirements and deadlines.

 

The Role

Ø Responsible for all key revenue reconciliation, reporting and compliance activities as part of AMCS Global Team

Ø Managing month-end close activities including revenue validation, balance sheet reconciliations and associated reporting

o  Revenue validation to also include extension metrics: ACV (Annual Contract Value) and ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) validation

o  Balance sheet reconciliation to include Deferred and Accrued Revenue

Ø Working cross functionally with operational departments, partnering in the revenue forecasting process, reviewing gross margins and managing sales commission plans successfully

Ø Liaising with Contract Management, Billing, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Teams on any unbilled revenue balances and other open items

Ø Review and approval of customer subscriptions to ensure completeness and accuracy in line with contractual terms, agreed rollout schedules, or other formal agreements

Ø Liaise with other departments and regional teams, including Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success and R&D, to review contracts and resolve any issues as needed

Ø Provide advice to Sales and Legal on the revenue impact on a deal and suggest alternatives, where necessary

Ø Review and implement controls to ensure compliance with the company’s revenue recognition accounting policies / process

Ø Conduct revenue recognition training for non-finance business partners

Ø Design and support systems and processes for ongoing improvements

Ø Be the subject-matter-expert on ASC 606 and IFRS15 for international Finance, Sales and Legal teams

 

THE PERSON

Ø Qualified Accountant with relevant experience

Ø Revenue recognition / reporting experience is desirable

Ø Excellent communication skills

Ø Ability to build strong relationships

Ø Desire to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment

Ø Excel modelling experience preferable

Ø Exposure and experience using Financial ERPs: NetSuite, Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, etc

Ø Needs initiative and self-motivation
