About our UX team
We are a multi-disciplinary team of Product Designers, Content Designers, and UX Researchers that are passionate about solving customer problems along the travel journey in an effective and delightful way. We combine empathy, our craft, and creativity to create valuable, usable, and delightful product experiences.
Our work is guided by strong principles that make our experience focus on value and feel simple, trustworthy, human, and unique. We collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure those principles are front and center in the features we develop.

About the role
We’re looking for a mid-level Product Designer to support the Traveler group, several teams working on our core customer experience (including search, detail pages, our design system, and more). You'll go deep with one team at a time, working closely with a PM and other designers to drive impact in your space, while also having the flexibility to change focus if the need and desire arise. You'll learn many aspects of our UX and our business, following the needs of our users. Our ideal candidate has a track record of successful product design and is excited to learn, growing in their craft and impact. Working with other members of our UX team, you’ll be able to collaborate on wider initiatives, give each other feedback on work, and shape our emerging design system, tooling, and culture.

Responsibilities:
- Design and iterate on high-quality deliverables across web, native apps, and other surfaces.
- Dive deep into customer data and research insights, leverage both qualitative and quantitative insights in your decision making.
- Work closely with product managers and cross-functional peers, contributing to the product strategy and roadmap.
- Work with UX researchers to plan research initiatives to inform and evaluate product decisions. Advocate for customer needs in a collaborative way.
- Help your team navigate ambiguous problem spaces and break problems down into manageable pieces.
- Develop a strong, customer-focused point of view on our product and where it’s headed.
- Bring your work to UX team critiques and walk us through your design rationale; give constructive feedback to strengthen your peers’ quality of work.
- Communicate with your stakeholders to keep projects moving forward.

Your profile:
- 2+ years experience with end-to-end product design
- Fluent in English
- Deep knowledge of cross-platform design (Web, iOS, Android, email)
- Experience working closely within cross-disciplinary product teams; strong communication and collaboration skills
- Able to clearly communicate design ideas, decision rationale, and product vision
- Proactive and comfortable working autonomously
- Problem-oriented mindset, focusing on outcomes (not output)
- Sharp understanding of how UX impacts business objectives and KPIs
