About the opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated, collaborative, business-minded attorney to join our expanding legal team. This position will report to the Senior Counsel, Americas and will support commercial agreements in the Americas. You will be a self-starter,, have the ability to operate independently and effectively, and to work/communicate cross-functionally. This is a unique opportunity and exciting time to join the #CSquad, giving you the ability to build out processes with the legal team at a fast-growing technology company.

What you’ll be doing:

    • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of complex commercial, sales and procurement agreements, including master service agreements, SaaS, data processing addenda, non-disclosure agreements, vendor agreements, cutting-edge partnership agreements, and other various agreements;
    • Participate in the earliest stage of negotiations, assisting Contract Manager, SalesOps deal desk, global procurement and partners reps in managing and collaborating on all needs of the contract cycle, as needed;
    • Advise internal business units on company policies, negotiation strategy, and legal issues and risks;
    • Enhance relationship and collaboration between the Legal department and other departments within Contentsquare (including Sales, Marketing, SalesOps, Finance, People, Procurement and others);
    • Assist in creating and improving our standard form agreements, draft new templates for complex partnerships, revise playbooks, and streamline legal processes as needed as we develop new products and enter new international markets; and
    • Handle other project-based work within the scope of the legal department responsibilities on an as needed basis.

Who we’re looking for:

    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience in-house and/or law firm, with a particular focus on the technology sector;
    • Juris Doctorate, admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in the state of hire;
    • Significant experience in drafting, negotiating and managing commercial agreements, including SaaS Agreements; 
    • Excellent negotiating skills, keen analytical abilities, a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, as well as a track record of success in handling complex business and legal issues in a fast-paced, agile and evolving technology-driven business environment;
    • Collaborative, positive, business-friendly and service-minded; and 
    • Background in privacy and data protection, particularly GDPR and CCPA is a plus (e.g., data processing addendums)
