The Role

We are looking for the right person to join our team as a Payroll and Benefits Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our US Payroll function as well as partnering with our Head of US People operations to administer our benefits program. This is a unique opportunity to create “from scratch”. Initially, this role will be responsible for the US benefits and payroll implementation in Workday - so it is vital that you have previous Workday experience. Being that this is a new role, you will also have the opportunity to create new processes and make adjustments to processes currently in place. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll be able to show off your excellent communication skills, passion for accuracy, and have fun while doing it all. Is that you?

What You’ll Do

Payroll Management:

  • Manage Workday Payroll Implementation
  • Create scalable multi-state payroll processes
  • Collect, organize, and prepare payroll data changes and documentation for our semi-monthly payroll (currently use JustWorks)
  • Review and follow up with employees and managers on the completion of time cards and the approval of time off requests
  • Manage and track quarterly and annual bonus payments
  • Develop and Manage annual merit increase process
  • In partnership with Accounting, prepare and submit post-payroll reporting requirements
  • Process State registrations as we hire in new geographies across the US

Benefits Administration:

  • Manage Workday Benefits Implementation
  • Train new hires on benefit offerings and employee handbook guidelines
  • Track and approve benefit enrollments, changes and terminations
  • Support the annual open enrollment process
  • Assist with trainings as necessary

Your Qualifications

  • You have 3-5 years previous experience with payroll - benefits experience a plus
  • Prior Workday experience required
  • Experience with accounting software, reporting, bookkeeping, general ledger, and journal entries
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite with intermediate skills in Excel including VLOOKUP, if functions, pivot tables, etc.
  • Prior experience working in a fast paced environment in a period of hyper growth
