Responsibilities:

  • Legal lead for US with direct reporting to General Counsel.
  • Own and manage contractual negotiations from point of handover from regional Sales team though to signature using standard form Condeco contracts and, where necessary, customer supplied MSAs.
  • Work closely with local Sales, Delivery and Customer Success teams to ensure contractual obligations and operational delivery remain aligned.
  • Work with all global stakeholders (CFO, GC, DPO, Finance, Product and Operations) to ensure global policies and standards are implemented and upheld regionally. 
  • Review of NDAs, DPAs, Partner Agreements and other ancillary documents.
  • Support GG and CFO on other regional legal matters where required.
  • Work across global legal to support each other as required.


About You:

  • Tenacious and ambitious with love of negotiation underpinned by strong values.
  • Clear desire to seize the initiative, work autonomously and push your colleagues forward – whilst consulting and escalating where needed.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work closely with regional Sales teams to negotiate contracts directly with customers - including being able to ‘jump’ on a call on short notice and work with incomplete instructions.
  • Ability to say ‘no’ so clients and customers in a positive way and make them understand why.
  • Sound commercial judgment: when to accept, when to negotiate and when to escalate.
  • Proven ability to find that balance between protecting the company / enforcing compliance against contract standards and maximising sales in a timely manner.
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible – able to prioritise despite substantial ‘noise’ and to adapt to rapidly changing situations and priorities.
  • Enjoy building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.


Essential Skills:

  • Significant track record of reviewing and negotiating SaaS agreements directly with customers and partners.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience and knowledge of contract law, data protection/privacy, IT and cloud legal issues.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting SaaS companies locally, regionally and globally.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing internal stakeholder expectations under high pressure situations. 
  • Able to work on own initiative direct with internal stakeholders and customers.
