Accounts Payable Assistant

The Opportunity

We are looking for a focused and reliable candidate to join our Kyiv based team as an Accounts Payable Assistant. You will be responsible for ensuring all our inventory invoices are entered on a timely basis, investigating discrepancies and requesting credit memos from international suppliers.

In addition, your responsibilities will include taking care of primary accountancy documents with our Ukrainian suppliers and internal administrative financial questions (refunds to employees, tracking expenses, etc.)

This is a great chance to be involved in a young fast growing company and become a valuable part of the Accounts Payable and wider Finance team which spans both Ukraine and the UK. You will be reporting to the Finance Team Lead in Kyiv and working closely with the finance team in London.

Role Responsibilities:

• To review, query and post invoices to MS Dynamic Nav accounting software
• To query invoice discrepancies with the Inventory Management team
• To manage the paper and electronic filing of all supplier invoices
• To communicate with suppliers to resolve queries and request credit memos in a polite and positive manner
• To carry out month end procedures reporting to the Finance Manager
• Agree objectives and improvement targets for yourself and review these regularly
• Full cycle of primary accountancy (several local suppliers)
• Admin finance questions and organisation (refunds/expenses, payments for education/training, WFH additional equipment, etc.)
• Tracking and reporting of the expenses

Desired Skills:

• Excellent MS Office Excel skills
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with internal and external parties to resolve queries
• Planning and time management skills
• Integrity and discretion
• Minimum Bachelor degree ideally in a numerical discipline
• Experience of MS Dynamic Nav software or enjoys picking up and using new computer software
• Reliable, confident and able to work on own initiative and with limited supervision
