At Zwift IT, one of our key missions is to enable the enterprise to run more efficiently and effectively. Currently, we are seeking an experienced JIRA Administrator to join our rapidly growing team! Jira Software (Cloud), Jira Service Desk (Cloud) and Confluence (Cloud) experience are required, and day-to-day responsibilities will include operation and maintenance of Jira and Confluence. You will solve all issues that arise with our Atlassian Suite, providing technical solutions to operational problems, contributing to upgrades/releases, and implementing new functionality, and providing the overall upkeep and maintenance of Jira/Confluence instances.

As an individual contributor, you’ll be focused on providing strong internal Atlassian tooling expertise to help our organization achieve its goals. This isn’t a purely Atlassian-focused role, however - other areas of process and workflow automation are also a key area. This role is an excellent fit for a well-organized and self-motivated individual, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do: 

  • Analyzes, reviews, and documents current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement.
  • Supports JIRA Software, JIRA Service Desk, Confluence administration, including creation and management of custom, complex projects, workflows, security schemes, custom fields, dashboards, and reports configurations 
  • Meets with partners to identify JIRA Project and Confluence needs and implements them as appropriate 
  • Gathers requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize and improves JIRA/Confluence setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality needs to improve to meet user requests
  • Improves JIRA security. Sets access permissions for JIRA projects and Confluence spaces.
  • Provides User Management and grants user permissions in accordance with role given by the company
  • Creates and maintains detailed technical and user facing documentation
  • Conducts training for employees and new hires on JIRA and Confluence regarding how to use the tools, new functionality, etc.
  • Installs, configures, tests, and manages add-ons, plug-ins, and extensions
  • Works with other IT team members to integrate Atlassian tools with other applications

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience as JIRA Administrator in a software development organization
  • 5+ years of experience as JIRA Administrator with experience customizing JIRA projects with various schemes, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
  • Understanding of the end-to-end product development life cycle, best practices, and project management methodologies
  • Experience with a variety of JIRA and Confluence Plugins/Apps
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to communicate with partners and software development personnel
  • Practical experience REST APIs and their application in JIRA/Confluence
  • Experience in a start-up and/or hyper-growth company

Bonus points: 

  • One or more of the following Atlassian Certifications is a plus: Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator, Atlassian Certified Confluence Administrator, Atlassian Certified JIRA Service Desk Administrator, Atlassian Certified Systems Administrator
  • Automation / Scripting experience
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and team structure
