Who we need

Malwarebytes is seeking a product leader to d focus on our Managed Service Provider (MSP) cyber protection business. To that goal, you will own the medium to long range business and product direction for our MSP security segment, leveraging our Core Small and Medium Business (SMB) cyber protection portfolio. The perfect candidate for this role sees themselves as a high energy innovator and entrepreneur. They possess the experience and strong working knowledge of SMB & MSPs and can take a well-established company with a credible brand and leading technology assets, quickly assess new ideas and opportunities, and lead our MSP product portfolio to new levels of growth and customer impact.

 

What you’ll do

  • Drive cross functional efforts to separate the good ideas from the bad to translate learnings into compelling, high growth strategies in the MSP cyber protection market
  • Develop and maintain deep understanding of research, company business needs, competitor/industry trends, and MSP cyber security needs
  • Discover problems in the market using product discovery techniques (such as rapid prototyping and A/B testing), interviewing and surveying customers, recent evaluators, and untapped potential customers, then comparing learnings to market trends to evaluate the resulting opportunities
  • Establish and maintain a portfolio level strategy by identifying a set of hypothesis and potential “big bets” in existing markets (H1), emerging markets (H2), and new markets(H3) and lead efforts to test and validate a path forward for investment and delivery
  • Collaborate across segments to ensure MSP strategies align with all segment strategies to produce a unified customer experience and product-led growth engine
  • Collaborate with finance and marketing to produce quantitative models of market opportunity and potential investment areas based on a combination of customer insights, market data, and evidence collected from product experiments
  • Craft and improve monetization strategies for new product concepts in your segment
  • Identify, articulate, and leverage the organization’s unique abilities to deliver value to the market
  • Energize and excite partners, analysts, investors, employees, and customers on forward looking vision, strategy, and high-level roadmap
  • Help determine most effective way to deliver a complete solution to the market (build, buy, or partner)
  • Continuous assessment of new market players for potential partnership or acquisition
  • Define, Monitor and Analyze key performance indicators to determine how well the business and products are performing as an input into evolving better product strategies that drive better business outcomes
  • Act as advisor and mentor to product management teams focused on strategy execution and delivery to provide continuous direction throughout the product lifecycle

 

Skills - You’ll need to have

  • Great communication, both verbal and written, with strong ability to frame and communicate complex logic into easily digestible forms for both technical and business stakeholders
  • High energy and sense of urgency - thoughtful and methodical, but biased towards action
  • Strong collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills
  • Lead-by-example and represent Malwarebytes’s core tenets
  • A Bachelor’s degree; a Masters in Business Administration is nice to have
  • 7+ years of leadership in Product Management, and/or Product Marketing

You should also have:

  • Relevant experience and expertise in defining distinctive competencies and building a SaaS product portfolio, ideally within one or more SMB or MSP or MSSP security protection markets
  • Strong working knowledge and/or experience implementing Product-Led Growth strategies
  • Ability to take complex data and distill it into a set of easily digestible KPIs and presentations for the executive team or non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledgeable, but not solely dependent on business case development and financial ROI
  • Experience with modern agile product and design practices such as rapid prototyping, Product Discovery and Design Sprints, and Jobs to Be Done
  • Experience with customer and prospect research with a strong understanding of customer segmentation and user personas
  • Strong executive presence and able to communicate effectively to customers, analysts, executives, and partners
