We're looking for a data-driven Technical SEO Lead! Organic traffic drives a large proportion of our revenue and we've got big plans to expand, and so technical SEO needs a dedicated owner.

This role is perfect for someone looking for a technical focus, in a business which understands the value of SEO and wants to protect and grow it, and a role which allows them to get into the nitty gritty of technical. LoveCrafts is a large site with millions of pages so you’ll get to work with large amounts of data, log files and complex technical challenges. We have huge growth ambitions and need a Technical SEO Lead to help make it happen. This includes growing the existing business, launching new crafts and potential business acquisitions.

What youll be doing:

First we’ve got the technical core; finding problems, helping fix them and reporting on the process:

  • Conduct technical audits of the site to identify issues, write tickets in Jira for the tech team, and when needed provide business cases.
  • Manage the technical SEO of a large replatforming project we’re currently undergoing.
  • Setup reporting to monitor and update on technical projects.

We’ll also need you to take your technical expertise and share it with the business:

  • Work closely with the technical teams and product managers to be the voice for SEO.
  • Support the SEO Team with any technical issue that may require a more complex knowledge and conduct training sessions.

Finally, we’ll want you to be part of our strategy planning:

  • Work with the Head of SEO to identify opportunities for organic growth across the site and support the building of the project roadmap and OKRs with this in mind.
  • Support Head of SEO with forecasts to inform business planning and budgeting.

 Who you are

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of technical SEO and working with large ecommerce websites.
  • Able to prioritise technical recommendations with an understanding of how development teams work. You’re comfortable sizing and prioritizing issues and can communicate that clearly to the rest of business
  • A team player who is able to build and develop relationships across the business providing insight into the importance of SEO.
  • Experienced working with and building great relationships with development teams
  • Experienced working on international sites and multiple sites
  • Experienced working on replatforming or migration projects
  • You’re data driven and analytical, utilising these skills to provide forecasts and reports
  • You’re someone who is able to connect with both marketing and the tech team to achieve great performance
  • You have an understanding of software such as Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, OnCrawl and Google Search Console.
