As Dispatch Coordinator in the Dispatch team you’ll be reporting to the Dispatch Manager/Head of Logistics, to ensure the smooth running of our US Dispatch function. It’s a small operation, you will lead and work alongside a team of two to assist the ongoing growth ensuring that orders are picked, quality checked, packed and shipped within a 24 hour timeframe whilst ensuring our shopper’s requests are managed on a timely basis.

This is a hands-on role and requires someone who can hit the ground running, enjoys a challenge, can pivot at any time and thrives within a startup environment.

From packing of orders, answering queries to developing a team and building the US operations process, you will need to be willing to do a bit of everything.


You Will:

  • Ensure all orders are QC’d (by taking images of goods),packed, shipped and reconciled in our internal OMS (NetSuite) and using Slack within the required timeframe
  • Collect parcels from designated points and move to our workspace within the building as required throughout the day.
  • Assist with shipping and duty quotes, and liaise with customs and carriers
  • Do the weekly stock take and ensure packaging volumes are replenished
  • Prepare customs paperwork and track carrier software to eliminate delays at customs and elsewhere
  • Represent Threads as first point of contact with carriers in the US - DHL/UPS/local couriers
  • Prepare data and reports for management where required
  • Supervise and manage a team of 2 Distribution Assistants
  • Be responsible for HQ workspace - health & safety, security and facilities
  • Work closely with global Threads team members

You Have:

  • First Line Manager or Supervisory experience in a shipping or warehouse environment
  • Carrier knowledge
  • Customs experience would be advantageous
  • The ability to be disciplined and focused
  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
